ABOUT MVACA
The Missouri Valley Arms Collectors Association has served America's gun, militaria, and blade collecting community since 1953. An NRA affiliate from its founding, MVACA holds national standing as one of the country's oldest and most respected collector organizations. Our mission is straightforward: support serious collectors, educate the public, and host one of America's largest and most trusted arms shows.
The 55th Annual National Summer Arms Show draws collectors and dealers from across the country to the KCI Expo Center in Kansas City every July. With 750+ tables spanning Civil War artifacts to today's tactical gear, it ranks as America's 5th largest gun show — a distinction earned through decades of consistent, well-organized events run by collectors, for collectors.
DISPLAYS & AWARDS
Every MVACA show includes a judged display competition open to collectors who want to exhibit their finest pieces. It's one of the few events where the depth and quality of a collection is formally recognized — not just traded across a table.
Collectors enter curated displays for evaluation by experienced judges. Categories span the breadth of the floor: vintage and modern arms, militaria, edged weapons, and historical collections. Awards are presented to the best displays on Sunday afternoon. Exhibiting at the MVACA show is a significant credential in the collector community.
The centerpiece of the MVACA awards tradition is the KC Scout Bronze Statue — a famed trophy presented to the show's most distinguished display. Named for the iconic Kansas City Scout monument, the award carries decades of history and remains one of the most recognized honors in the regional collector circuit.
